Can I store the data files for multiple products in the same folder?

Summary
Yes you can. QAS recommends customers store their data files for different products in a central location if the computers running QuickAddress software are all accessible to each other, i.e. networked.
Solution
Different QuickAddress products use different data files; however, there is some overlap between the products and their data files (e.g. QuickAddress Pro data files are also used by QuickAddress Batch). There are no issues with using the same data files in the same location with different products. The table below summarises the data files used by some QuickAddress Products:

Using a central data store has the advantage of reducing the disk space used by the data files (as there is only one instance of each data file). Also, data updates are made easier as there is only one location to be updated.
It should be noted that the products will all be using the same data release – if this is not the desired behaviour, then separate data file locations must be used.
Please note that for V4 products each installation of QuickAddress data will require a valid licence key to access the data files. If using a V4 Client/Server configuration, only the server installation needs a licence key. Once a V4 FULLY PURCHASED licence key has been successfully entered it does not need to be entered again into the product.
