Some of the useful information accessible from the System Information window is:

  • The number of days before data expiry for individual data sets.
  • The folder location of your QuickAddress data files.
  • The folder location of your product configuration settings.
  • The folder location of your QuickAddress product.

Solution

If you are running QuickAddress Plug & Go (desktop) products (on DOS or Windows), or QuickAddress user Interface (UI) API products (on Windows or Unix), then you can access the System Information window by pressing:

2. Press Alt + = (the ‘+’ sign signifies the at the first key is held down while the second key is pressed).

Unix

2. Press Esc followed by = whilst you have focus on any of the QuickAddress UI screens

(Please note that this functionality is not available with low level APIs).

Overleaf is an example of the screen that will appear for QuickAddress Pro Plug and Go World Version 2.21. Your screenshot may differ but the same principles apply.

The example above illustrates that the product in use is QuickAddress Pro Version 2.21 for Windows 32-bit. Using the scroll bar uncovers more information such as location of the data files, and the number of days before the data expires for each country database installed.

The System Information window can be cancelled by pressing:
