Monthly data updates

Monthly data updates ensure organizations maximize their return on investment on all QuickAddress products. This is achieved by ensuring all customer information captured, cleaned, or enhanced is done so with the most accurate and extensive data available.

Monthly updates are built from data supplied every month by QAS' data suppliers, these data sets incorporate the very latest changes in a country’s postal address file. Updates are then made available within a matter of weeks to all subscribed customers.

As an example of how address data can change, recent statistics show that there are 175,000 changes to Royal Mail’s Postal Address File every month, including 45,000 additions alone.

Available monthly data sets
The following data sets are available as monthly updates:

• USA Address data (for use with Pro, Pro Web, Batch V4/ WV3/WV2).
• GBR Address data (for use with Pro and Batch V4/WV3/ WV2).
• UK Address data (for use with pre V4 UK products, including Pro, Batch, Rapid, Healthcoder, Locator and Dedupe).
• UK Utility data (for use with UK products). N.B The utility data itself is only updated quarterly but this is re-indexed on a monthly basis against address data from Royal Mail.

Available DataPlus sets
Most UK DataPlus sets are also available for use with monthly updates although only the UK Address Key and UK Delivery Point Suffix DataPlus sets actually change monthly. The others are simply compatible, i.e. no data change, with monthly UK PAF data.

Currently, only GBR Delivery Point Suffix DataPlus is available with monthly updates with GBR data, and other GBR DataPlus sets are not compatible with the monthly data.

N.B. Monthly updates are only available on CDROM.

DataPlus compatible with monthly UK updates

The DataPlus sets below are not updated monthly but are compatible with UK monthly updates (i.e. for pre V4 UK Products):

• Grid reference accurate to postcode level, resolution of 100m (But not for use with Nearest)
• European Parliament Constituencies
• UK Local Authority District
• UK Local Education Authority
• UK Local Authority Ward
• UK Westminster Parliamentary Constituency
• UK Westminster MP's
• UK NHS/Primary Care Administrative Codes
• UK District Health Authority
• UK ISBA TV Region
• UK Postally Non-Required Locality
• UK Mailsort/Walksort
• Specials Builder products using files from the above list

Mailsort and Walksort updates are supplied as and when updates from the Royal Mail are made available to QAS and are compatible with any of PAF data vintage. Walksort updates are supplied quarterly and are similarly compatible.
