Names Source Flags DataPlus
This DataPlus set was introduced in line with
the use of supplementary data. It is available to all Names data
customers and will return the source of the Names data: either the
Electoral Register or an alternative source. The DataPlus set will
also return a code consisting of two digits.
First digit:
1 - the record was sourced from the Electoral Register
2 - the record was sourced from Dataworks/Bounty
3 – the record was sourced from the Electoral
Register 2001 and subsequently verified.
Last digit:
0 - the record was present in only one source of data
1 - the record was in at least two sets of data; i.e.
the record was verified
Thus a name that has a code of
11 would mean that the record was in the edited Electoral
Register and one of the other data files. Similarly
a code of 20 would mean the record was sourced from
either Dataworks or Bounty, but not on the edited Electoral
Register.
