How do I install QAS Mailsort?

Put the CD into the drive, and either wait for it to run automatically, or else click Start and then Run and type: D:SETUP (where D: is the CD drive) The setup program should then start.

Why am I getting a 'Table is out of date' warning?

QAS Mailsort will warn you when your current Mailsort, Walksort or Tariff tables are out of date. To resolve this you need to update your tables by following the instructions below.

How do I update QAS Mailsort?

Navigate to the Mailsort updates page using this link (http://www.bbsltd.co.uk/newsite/software/LoginQAS.htm). Here you will need to enter the username and password you chose on purchasing the product. Click on the appropriate download link on the page to download the updates zip file. Once downloaded unzip the file and run the resulting executable. This will run the updates install program which will guide you through the rest of the update. Please ensure you install the file to your QAS Mailsort installation directory when running through the updates install program, the default location for installation is C:\Program Files\QAS\QASMSORT.

Once the install has finished you will need to open QAS Mailsort and navigate to the General Settings Tab. Here you will need to select the latest tables from the dropdown lists in the Mailsort and Walksort Tables section.

When should I update QAS Mailsort?

QAS will send out notifications when new updates are ready to be downloaded.

How do I move from the Demo to Full version of QAS Mailsort?

When QAS Mailsort is purchased you will be sent a set of licensing details that will be sent out to you. These details will need to be entered into the Licensing Details section of the System Options tab within your Demo version of QAS Mailsort. Once the information and password have been entered correctly the following message should appear 'Password updated successfully <Licensed Company>'. You will then need to close down the program, at which point you will be asked 'Mailsort settings have been changed! Do you want to save changes?'. Click 'Yes' here to save the license changes you have made and move to a Full version of QAS Mailsort.
