Hi Mark,

Are you looking to use other libraries the make use of $, or do you strictly work with jQuery? The qas.js makes use of the standard jQuery, if you plan on upgrading the jQuery library, you shouldn’t have issues, but again it doesn’t hurt to do preliminary testing.

Can you provide us with the organization you are working with, or your Account Manager (Salesperson). This will allow us to provide a more direct resource to assist you and answer any outstanding questions. You can also email us at us.support AT qas.com

We don't have an account yet, we're just in the evaluation stage and need to integrate into a system already running a new version of jQuery. So hearing that it's being tested against 1.7.1 is good, but we would still need to be considering upgrade path for either piece (QAS or our own system) to ensure future compatibility. Which means either running our own scripts in noConflict OR QAS.

	Thanks again

Can you please provide us with the Account information, or the organization you are calling on behalf of, so that we can better assist you?

We use basic functions within jQuery that are generally transferable between versions, so there shouldn't necessarily be any issues. That being said, we haven't tested the qas.js on other jQuery versions, all though I have tested that it works fine with 1.7.1.

Thank you,
Hi,

Question about integrating QAS into a system that is already using jQuery for other purposes, but running a completely different version of it. Is there a version of qas.js that can run in noConflict mode so that all QAS global jQuery calls are scoped to the QAS specific version of jQuery? Or is the solution to simply pull down the existing qas.js and re-write it ourselves so that it will play nicely with other included versions of jQuery on the page.

Same for the included version of jQueryUI, I suppose.

	Thanks!

Hi we are experiencing the same issue on windows 7, was wondering if a solution/version is known to fix this?

To resolve the issue, customers should be using Electronic Updates 2.31, as this version was released to fix that problem. They can check which version they are currently on by opening the Electronic Updates Configuration Editor and going to the ‘Advanced’ tab and then ‘Information.’

If they are on 2.30 or an earlier version, they should update. They can update EU by downloading the exe file from the FTP site and running it. That exe is on the QAS FTP site qas[dot]com/ftp. The file is named EU-without-dotnet-setup[dot]exe.

	Thanks,

	Hi Stacey.

I haven't tried integrating for Sybase, but you may want to try checking the stack size that you've allowed for. If it's too small for QAS Pro to run, it may terminate with a stack overflow.

I believe the link below might help:
http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.help.eas_5.0.easperf/html/easperf/easperf22.htm

You can also try turning error logging on, which should be covered in the product manual. That may point at another cause of the errors you're seeing.

The qaelg.enc file is normally created for debugging internal matching behaviour of the product.

It is possible that this logging has been left on accidentally. Check the qaworld.ini file in the QAS Batch directory and look for a line which begins "BatchTrace=". If this exists, disable the setting by placing a ';' character at the start of the line.

For Batch, it is recommended that the drive or server where the installation is located have enough space to equal the size of the files or database that Batch is cleaning.

The qaelg.enc file grows in size as a Batch clean is running, but when the clean is done or the service is restarted the file will reset back to 0kb.

One alternative solution is to split the job into multiple batch runs if possible.

Once we process ~1B records the file is about 30GB. How can we fix this issue or is there a setting that allows for this file to be limited to growth?

Depending on what product you are using there are different answers. If you are using QAS Pro Plug N Go or Pro Client/Server, you would configure Pro to paste back into your application. Pro uses a keyboard emulator to do this. If you go up into the Training section of the Support site you can find documentation on how this is done or feel free to reach out directly to technical support at (617)385-6784.
If you are using ProWeb, then you'll need to integrate into your source code so that ProWeb knows what fields to return what values to. The best documentation to explain this is actually downloaded when you install in a folder called Documentation in your QAS ProWeb Program Files. Again, if you have any specific questions, please feel free to reach out to our Tech Support line!
