Latest Research Report: "The Impact of Contact Data Quality"

In August, Experian QAS completed a survey to find out more about current perceptions around data quality, data cleansing practices and database accuracy levels.

Some key survey findings

  • 96.2% of organizations view data accuracy as an essential issue
  • Nearly 1/3 of those surveyed do not enforce data quality practices
  • More than half of the respondents say 6%+ of their database is incorrect or missing important information

Excerpt from the report

"While contact data quality is becoming a priority as businesses focus on customer loyalty and retention, stakeholders are finding difficulty implementing projects due to cost constraints," says Joel Curry, chief operating officer, Experian QAS." To overcome this obstacle, organizations should prioritize projects based on their positive return on investment."

How Do You Keep Track of 40 Million Address Changes?

Did you know that over 40 million Americans change their address each year? This makes moving one of the main reasons for undeliverable-as-addressed mail being sent in the United States.

That's why it's important to regularly check and update your customer address file. Keeping track of all of those changes is a mammoth task, but fortunately the postal service knows about almost all of them! You probably sent them a form the last time you moved.

QAS now offers an address clean and update service that can leverage the last 48 months of move data to improve the quality the address data in your database.
