USPS® to improve its levels of service

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has pledged its commitment to improving the service that it currently offers through innovation, service, quality and information.
Speaking at the National Postal Forum, postmaster general John Potter has outlined changes which will be implemented into the service over the next decade.
He used the industry's annual educational event and trades show as a platform to promote USPS' future.
Mr Potter claimed that a host of new measures would help USPS to counter the predicted 15 per cent fall in mail volumes over the coming ten years.
"You're going to see these changes in packages, advertising mail and First-Class Mail," he added.
"As these changes roll out they're going to make mail even more attractive."
In addition, the postmaster general explained that innovations such as Intelligent Mail® and the flats sequencer would help propel the service and industry into the future.
USPS customers can utilize the company's online address verification tool to reduce the risk of returned mail.
