Address database correction software
QAS Batch address correction software cleans, completes and verifies existing
records in an address database or list. Over time, frequent address cleansing
helps prevent data decay by keeping the address database correct, accurate and
up to date.
During a typical batch run, the data cleansing process checks each record in the address database against the latest* U.S. Postal Service® (USPS®) address data file or equivalent for international addresses. For U.S. addresses, the address correction software will complete ZIP + 4® codes, add missing address details and correct any spelling or formatting errors it finds.
QAS Batch is CASS Certified™ software and is easy to use and install. An intuitive wizard guides the user through the entire address cleansing process, from the selection of addresses for data cleansing to determining the data output format. The actual address data cleansing then proceeds automatically.

CASS certified software:
QAS Batch is certified by the USPS as meeting all the address data
cleansing and validation requirements of the Coding Accuracy Support System
(CASS). CASS is the process that ensures accurate carrier route, 9-digit ZIP
+ 4 codes and Delivery Point Barcodes are placed on mail pieces by address correction
software.
Delivery Point Validation:
By performing address data cleansing down to the premise level, addresses with
missing apartment or suite numbers can be identified and flagged to the QAS
Batch operator.
Delivery Point Barcodes:
In addition to address cleansing and validation, QAS Batch supports
Delivery Point Barcodes (DPBCs), which can qualify bulk mailers for further postal
discounts. A DPBC consists of the 9-digit ZIP + 4 code, the last two digits of
the primary address or post office box (delivery point) and a single check digit.

Technical information
QAS Batch address correction software is available as a wizard-driven standalone product or as a set of APIs. Through these APIs, address cleansing functionality can be integrated into most database applications.
QAS is currently available for Windows 95/98/NT/2000/ME/XP. It is also available on UNIX for non-U.S. data.
