Davenport University purchases contact data verification software to ensure data accuracy
Experian® QAS®, a part of Experian Marketing Services and a leading provider of address verification software and services, today announced that Davenport University has purchased contact data verification software to ensure the accuracy of contact information entered by admissions, enrollment and advancement departments, as well as the registrar. The software is expected to reduce returned mail, improving recruitment and fundraising efforts.
"We are looking at ways to improve our data integrity and noticed a high returned mail rate," said Kerry Prentice, ERP project manager at Davenport University. "A large amount of our mail deals with prospective students and alumni donations, and each returned piece equates to a lost opportunity to get in touch with those individuals."
The tools will be implemented at the point of capture within SunGard Higher Education's Banner® Student information system and in the back office within admissions. In addition to address details, the university also will verify telephone numbers.
